Billing & credits
How am I charged — monthly or hourly?
Hourly. There's no subscription. You buy credits up front and your running servers spend them by the hour. See How Pay-As-You-Go Works.
When does billing start?
The moment you create or start a server, it charges one full hour upfront, then another full hour at the start of each hour it keeps running. See How Hourly Billing Works.
Am I charged while my server is stopped?
No. Stopping a server pauses billing, and any unused time you already paid for is banked for next time. See Pausing Billing by Stopping.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Your server is gracefully stopped — your save data is kept and your balance never goes negative. Top up and start it again to continue. See Running Out of Credits.
Do my credits expire?
No. Credits stay on your balance until your servers spend them. There's no monthly reset.
Can I get a refund for unused credits?
Credits are meant to be spent on hosting. Since there's no subscription, the best way to control spend is to stop servers when you're not playing so they stop charging.
Why is my wallet in USD or IDR, and can I change it?
Your wallet currency is set once when you first sign in, based on your location (Indonesia → IDR, everyone else → USD). It can't be changed, because your balance is stored in that currency. See Your Wallet Currency.
What payment methods can I use?
It depends on your currency: USD wallets pay with PayPal; IDR wallets pay with Midtrans (QRIS, GoPay, or bank transfer). See Buying Credits.
I paid but my credits didn't appear — what now?
Give it a moment (bank transfers can be pending), refresh your Console, and check your transaction history. Credits are granted only once per payment, so you're never double-credited. See My Payment Didn't Add Credits.
Servers
How do I create my first server?
Use the three-step create wizard: choose a region, choose a size, then review and confirm. See Quick Start.
Which games can I host?
We host a range of popular games. See the full list in the Game Configuration Guides.
How many players can my server hold?
It depends on the game and the size you pick (Small, Medium, or Large). Bigger sizes have more CPU and RAM for more players. See Choosing a Plan & Size.
Can I change the region, plan, or size after creating a server?
Yes. Change region or resize from the Server Settings blade. Upscaling charges a prorated difference; downscaling is free. See Changing Server Size & Cost.
How do my friends connect?
Share the server's IP and port (shown on its instance page). See Connecting & Inviting Players.
Is my save data kept when I stop or restart?
Yes. Stopping and restarting preserve your world. Only deleting a server removes its data. See Recovering Save Data.
Can I install mods?
Mod support is per-game. Today, Factorio supports mods through its Mods blade. See Installing & Managing Mods.
How long does a server take to come online?
Usually a few minutes. The status shows Starting while it provisions, then Running when it's ready. See Understanding Server Status.
Account
Do I need to create a username and password?
No. You sign in with Google, Facebook, or Microsoft — there's no separate password to manage. See Creating Your Account.
Can I sign in with a different provider later?
Each provider login is a separate account with its own balance and servers. Always sign in with the same provider you used the first time to keep your data.
How do I delete a server?
Open the server and choose Delete. This is permanent and removes its save data — if you just want to stop paying, stop it instead. See Deleting a Server.
