Creating a Server

You create a server with a simple three-step wizard. It takes just a few minutes from start to a running server.

Step 1: Choose a region

Pick the data-center location for your server. The closer it is to you and your players, the lower the ping. See Choosing a Region.

Step 2: Choose a plan & size

Pick a size tier — Small, Medium, or Large. Bigger sizes have more CPU and RAM to support more players, at a higher hourly rate. See Choosing a Plan & Size.

Step 3: Review & confirm

  • Give your server a name.
  • Set the game settings (these vary by game — see the game guides).
  • For supported games, optionally add mods.
  • Review the hourly rate, then confirm.

When you confirm, one hour of credit is charged upfront and the server begins provisioning.

After you confirm

Your server enters the Starting state while we provision the machine and launch the game. This usually takes a few minutes. When it's ready, the status becomes Running — see Understanding Server Status.

You must have enough credit to cover the first hour, or the server won't be created. Top up first if needed — see Buying Credits.
