Connecting & Inviting Players
Once your server is Running, you and your friends connect to it using its address. The exact steps depend on the game.
Find your server's address
Open the server from your Console. Its instance page shows the connection details — typically an IP address and the port for that game. Share these with anyone you want to invite.
Connecting in-game
Most games connect one of these ways:
- Direct connect / "Join by IP" — enter the server's IP and port in the game's multiplayer menu.
- Server browser — find your server in the game's in-game or Steam server list (where the game supports it).
See your game's configuration guide for the specific ports and the best way to connect to that game.
Inviting players
Just share the server address with your group. There's no separate invite system — anyone with the address (and any password you set in the game settings) can join while the server is running.
Make sure the server is running
Players can only connect while the status is Running. If nobody can join:
- Confirm the status is Running (not Stopped, Starting, or Error).
- Double-check the IP, port, and any password.
- See I Can't Connect to My Server.
